　至福の時を過ごすというのは、例えば、この権威あるグッドウッド・フェスティバル・オブ・スピードに参加出来た一握りの人たちのことをいうのではないでしょうか。
今回、くるま村取材班として参加された田村氏は、まさにそんな一人だったと思います。
興奮冷め止まない田村氏より届いたグッドウッドの資料（レポート、画像、ノベルティなど）は、過去のどんなイベント取材資料よりも数が多く、また、いろんな意味においても重いものでした。
そして、またこうして「くるま村の少年たち」の企画ページとして紹介させて頂けるのも本当にＨＰ主宰者冥利につきる思いであります。
仕事を休んでまでも行かれた田村氏、そして、何よりもトヨタモータースポーツのメインドライバーとして参加された鮒子田　寛氏にこの場を借りてお礼を申し上げたいと思います。

In a year that introduces a number of exciting new features to the event. First of alland most obviously.
We have the biggest and boldest central display we've ever seen outside Goodwood House.
It signifies two important anniversaries for the largest car-maker in the world.
This weekend, Toyota celebrates 70 years since the company began.
And 50 years since its first foray into motorsport.To mark this occasion.

Toyota has brought a number of cars and exhibits to run up the Hill. And on the Forest Rally Stage.
From the dominant Toyota Celica GT-FOUR to the Toyota TF106 Formula 1 car.
Look out for the extraordinary Toyota i-Swing concept, too. On the central display.

Advanced technology is a key feature of the Festival this year, with the introduction of the FOS-TECH pavilion, near the Cricket pitch.
This all new attraction focuses firmly on future technology, with displays covering everything from car design to biofuels. Another new element is our Organic Milk Race.
Just two weeks before the Tour de France starts in London.
We celebrate the speed and stamina of professional cycling with a special pro-celebrity cycle race.
Which sees Tour de France and Olympic riders joining forces with a handful of super-fit Formula 1 drivers.
Make sure you're track-side to cheer them on.

It should all add up to a very memorable weekend.
And as always, my thanks go to our Festival partners and the many drivers and entrants.
Without whom none of this would be possible.

ようこそグッドウッドへ！
今年は、今まででもっとも大掛かりで、志向を凝らしたディスプレイをお見せできることを光栄に思います。
今回のテーマとなるメーカーは、自動車生産で、現在世界第２位を誇るトヨタ自動車です。
設立から７０年目となるトヨタ自動車のモータースポーツ活動も、今年で５０周年を迎えました。
鳥居を思わせるメインディスプレイには、歴代のトヨタモータースポーツを代表するレーシングカーを一同に集めました。
それらは、１９７０年代から９０年代にかけて活躍したトヨタのラリーカー“セリカGT-FOUR”から、現在活躍中のフォーミュラ１“トヨタTF106”が丘を駆け上がるように飾られています。

また、今年はアトラクションの中には、現在の先進技術から新燃料までを紹介することも忘れていません。
そして、新しい試みとして、Organic Milk Raceの開催です。
ちなみに、有名なツール・ド・フランスは、グッドウッド開催の２週間後に始まります。これを祝して、有名サイクリストやオリンピック自転車トラック競技などのメダリスト、そして、新旧Ｆ１ドライバーらの参加によるサイクリングレースを開催します。
出場選手は、F1から、Jenson Button、Mark Webber、Damon Hill、スーパーバイクから、Troy Bayliss、オリンピックメダリストから、Chis Hoy、Jason Queally、ワールドサイクリストから、Victoria Pendletonその他強力選手が参加します。ぜひ、皆さんコースサイドでの応援をお願いします。
